Hard capsules · Optional pellet dosing
Pellet Capsule Filling Machine
Review an NJP-based configuration for filling pellets into hard capsules. Match the dosing assembly to your pellet, capsule and target fill, then agree the trial evidence before ordering.
Request a Pellet Filling ConfigurationPellet dosing is an option, not an assumed feature of the standard powder machine. Quotation follows the approved scope.

Choose the dosing scope
Specify the pellet application before choosing the machine
This page is for equipment buyers defining pellet dosing into hard capsules. The capsule filling machines selection hub compares the wider equipment routes; here the decision is the pellet assembly, tooling and evidence needed for a configuration quotation.
Pellets into hard capsules
Provide representative pellets, size distribution, target fill and capsule samples. Ask for a defined dosing assembly and product-specific trial rather than relying on a powder-machine description.
Mixed-fill requirements
Describe every component and its individual target dose. Granule/powder mixed filling appears in NJP reference documents, but each proposed combination needs its own station and control review.
Additional control requirements
Identify any component-level verification, coating assessment, containment or special cleaning requirement at the start. None is established merely by specifying a pellet attachment.
Documented configuration route
A pellet device is a separate selection decision
The NJP-3800C technical package explicitly lists an optional pellet filling device. The base platform is an intermittent-motion, hole-plate capsule filler with capsule feeding, separation, filling, locking and discharge functions.
That establishes a configuration route, not a guaranteed result for every pellet. The selected attachment, contact parts, dosing settings, capsule format and test conditions belong in the technical agreement.
Use the NJP-3800C industrial capsule filling machine page for the base platform's published specifications. Its main-machine maximum output is not a verified pellet output.
| Scope item | What to define | Evidence to request |
|---|---|---|
| Base machine | Selected NJP model, capsule handling and operating arrangement. | Configuration list and approved layout, including the pellet device. |
| Pellet dosing assembly | Dosing principle, adjustment range, feed path and product-contact parts. | Assembly identification, setup explanation and representative sample results. |
| Capsule format | Shell supplier, material, size and locking style. | Tooling list and confirmation using the proposed shells. |
| Material supply | Hopper, replenishment method, transfer equipment and cleaning access. | Included/excluded items and the handling method used during the trial. |
| Process controls | Sampling, alarms, verification and rejection requirements. | A written function list. Do not assume automatic weight control or component-level verification is included. |
Three inputs to a useful quotation
Send the shell, pellet and dose as one specification
A nominal capsule size and an hourly output target leave the dosing decision incomplete. Give the supplier enough material information to select and evaluate the pellet filling configuration.
Pellet and capsule information
Identify whether the pellets are coated, uncoated or supplied as a mixture. State the properties and handling limits that matter to your process, and arrange safe sample transfer using the agreed supplier channel. Define any required before/after assessment rather than assuming appearance alone is sufficient.
Dose and output information
State the target fill mass and accepted variation. If the requirement is a pellet count, several populations or an individual component dose, say so explicitly. Those requirements are not established by a single total-weight target. Use the capsule format selection guide for the shell/tooling discussion, not as proof of your pellet's fill capacity.
Evaluate the proposed assembly
Agree the trial measurements before the run
For coated pellets or a sensitive formulation, your product team should define the relevant assessment method and acceptance criteria. HIJ's equipment discussion does not establish a formulation's release performance or replace your product evaluation.
- Identify the trial configurationRecord the machine, dosing assembly, capsule tooling, material lot, settings and replenishment method. Keep the evaluated scope traceable to the quotation.
- Measure the requested doseAgree tare handling, sampling locations, sample size, weighing or counting method and acceptance limits. For a multi-component project, define what is verified for each component.
- Review material conditionWhere relevant, agree how to compare incoming material with material after handling and filling. Record the chosen inspection or product-test method; do not substitute a universal “no damage” promise.
- Report accepted outputRecord test duration, total capsules, accepted capsules, rejects, stops and replenishment events. A short running-speed display is not the same result as sustained accepted output.
- Demonstrate changeover and cleaning accessReview the product path, removable contact parts, residual-material handling and reassembly checks for the actual configuration. State the procedure and evidence expected in the purchase scope.
Compare configurations on the same basis
Separate total fill weight from component verification
A finished capsule's total weight alone does not establish each component's individual dose. If that distinction matters to the product, specify it before choosing the dosing and verification arrangement.
For industry context, MG2's PLANETA technical description distinguishes total capsule net-weight control from a system that checks individual dosed components. That is a reference to the distinction, not a claim that the same controls are supplied on an NJP machine.
Configuration insight
Compare quotations using the same capsule, pellet lot, dose definition and trial target. A quotation that includes a pellet device is not equivalent to one that only names the base machine. Keep tooling, verification functions, trial scope and auxiliaries visible as separate entries.

Pellet capsule filling questions
Is pellet dosing included with every NJP capsule filling machine?
No. The NJP-3800C reference document lists the pellet filling device as an option. The selected machine, dosing assembly, capsule tooling and acceptance test must be identified in the quotation; a standard powder configuration does not establish pellet capability.
What pellet output can HIJ quote?
Output is quoted after review of the pellet, target fill, capsule format and proposed dosing configuration. The NJP-3800C document's 228,000 capsules/hour entry is a main-machine maximum, not a demonstrated pellet output. Use accepted capsules over an agreed test period for the project target.
Can the machine fill pellets and powder into the same capsule?
Mixed-fill configurations need separate review. The NJP-1200 and NJP-2500 reference documents mention granule and powder mixed filling, but that does not establish every coated-pellet combination or prove independent control of each component. Specify each material and dose and request confirmation of the proposed stations.
Can a finished capsule weight check verify each pellet component?
A total-weight result alone does not establish each component's individual dose. If component-level verification is required, state that requirement and agree a suitable method. In-process weighing, automatic adjustment and rejection are not included unless explicitly specified in the accepted configuration.
How is a pellet capsule filling machine priced?
Pricing follows the selected base machine, pellet dosing assembly, capsule formats, product handling, controls, utilities and agreed testing and documentation. Request an itemized configuration quotation; this page does not publish a fixed equipment price or delivery commitment.
Quotation by configuration
Define your pellet filling project
Start with your pellet description, capsule format, target dose and required accepted output. Add any mixed-fill, component-verification or handling requirement so the equipment review addresses the actual project.
The quotation identifies the base machine, pellet dosing option, tooling, auxiliaries and agreed test scope. No fixed price or delivery term is implied here.
