NJP-1200C · production-scale hard capsules
Configure a continuous capsule filler around your formulation, capsule size, required good output, control architecture, utilities and FAT evidence—not a catalog speed alone.
Selection boundary
An automatic capsule filling machine continuously feeds empty hard capsules, separates bodies and caps, meters the formulation, rejects defective capsules, closes acceptable capsules and discharges the finished product. The machine removes manual plate transfer, but it does not remove the need to qualify powder flow, capsule quality, fill-weight settings, cleaning access and operator response.
The NJP-1200C is a practical route for production-scale powder, granule, pellet and defined mixed-fill projects. The documented maximum is up to 72,000 capsules per hour. Sustained good output must be established with representative material because low bulk density, poor flow, static, particle segregation, capsule variation and frequent checks can all reduce the usable rate.
Indexed production cycle
Each index moves the tooling through a defined operation. During a trial, observe more than whether the machine runs: verify separation, dosing stability, rejection, lock length, discharge and cleanability under an agreed test method.
Empty capsules are oriented and delivered to the mould segments.
Vacuum separates capsule bodies from caps for dosing.
Material is conditioned and presented to the metering system.
The selected dosing setup meters the formulation into capsule bodies.
Capsules that did not separate correctly are removed from the good path.
Caps and bodies are joined to the approved closing condition.
Closed capsules leave the machine for polishing, inspection or collection.
The tooling path is cleaned before the next indexed cycle.

This legacy TRUSTAR—now HIJ Machinery—video shows a related NJP-2000/2500 platform for process-flow reference. It is not presented as an NJP-1200C running video. Ask HIJ for the current model video and a product trial matched to your project.

Verified technical window
| Parameter | Published specification | Buyer verification |
|---|---|---|
| Rated output | Up to 72,000 capsules/hour | Establish sustained good output using representative capsules and formulation. |
| Capsule range | 00#–5#; safety capsules A–E | List every required size and dedicated tooling set in the quotation. |
| Capsule qualification | ≥99.5% under stated conditions | Define sample size, run duration and how a qualified capsule is counted. |
| Dosage difference | ≤±3% for doses above 300 mg with material granulated to 40–80 mesh | Do not apply this value to a different material window without a project trial. |
| Machine dimensions | 870 × 1020 × 2130 mm | Add service, cleaning, door-opening and material-handling clearances. |
| Machine weight | 900 kg | Confirm floor loading, access route and final installation position. |
| Installed drive power | 2.57 kW | Confirm actual electrical configuration in the approved technical agreement. |
| Dust collector power | 2.2 kW | Clarify whether dust collection is included and how it interfaces with the room system. |
| Power supply | 3-phase AC 380 V, 50 Hz | State destination voltage and frequency before final quotation. |
| Noise | ≤75 dBA | Agree the measurement location and operating condition if noise is an acceptance item. |
| Product-contact spare parts | SS304 | Request the material documentation required by your quality team. |
Published values are configuration-dependent. The approved quotation, technical agreement and FAT protocol control the final project scope.

Capacity planning
Good capsules per shift = verified trial rate × scheduled run time × agreed operating factor.
Do not multiply the catalog maximum by shift hours and treat the result as guaranteed output. Record the tested formulation, capsule lot, settings, sample interval and reject definition so the capacity claim is repeatable.
Controls and data
Suitable when the buyer needs basic machine speed control without a PLC-centered control package. Confirm alarm presentation, recipe handling and required records.
Adds PLC-based control for a more structured operating sequence. Define I/O, interlocks, alarms and any downstream handshake before order confirmation.
Supports a higher-level interface route. OPC and plant integration remain project-specific: define tags, data ownership, network boundary and acceptance testing.

The control selection affects operator workflow, fault diagnosis, recipe governance, line interlocks and the evidence available during qualification. A quotation should name the control architecture and the project-specific interfaces—not just state “PLC available.”
Facility fit
| Utility / condition | Published requirement |
|---|---|
| Vacuum | −0.02 to −0.06 MPa |
| Water consumption | 250 L/hour |
| Water inlet / drain | 20 mm / 27 mm |
| Exhaust | 210 m³/hour |
| Room temperature | 21 ±3 °C |
| Relative humidity | 40–55% |
Plan access for tooling removal, cleaning, hopper loading, dust collection, electrical service and operator movement. Confirm drainage, exhaust routing and utility connection points against the final general-arrangement drawing.
Environmental conditions can affect capsule shells and powder behaviour. If your room operates outside the published temperature or humidity window, make that a technical-review item before quotation.
Quotation scope

For a structured comparison, use the automatic capsule filling machine price guide. It explains why two quotations for the same model can differ after tooling, controls, documentation and service scope are defined.
Make the quotation comparable.
HIJ can return the machine, tooling, options, documentation and delivery scope as separate items.
URS and FAT
The most expensive quotation gap is often not the machine—it is an undefined acceptance method. Write the test duration, material quantity, sampling interval, good-output calculation, reject categories and evidence format before FAT.
Use the capsule filling machine FAT checklist and the GMP validation guide to align engineering and quality teams before the purchase order.

Buyer questions
The documented rated output is up to 72,000 capsules per hour. Sustained production output depends on the capsule, formulation, fill target, test method and selected machine configuration.
It is documented for capsule sizes 00# to 5# and safety capsules A to E. Confirm every required capsule size and dedicated tooling set during the configuration review.
The technical document states a dosage difference of no more than plus or minus 3% when dosing exceeds 300 mg and the material has been granulated to 40 to 80 mesh. A different formulation or dose window requires project evaluation and an agreed trial method.
The NJP-1200 family supports defined powder, granule, pellet and mixed powder-and-granule applications. Oil and liquid fills require a dedicated liquid capsule filling route.
The published window includes 3-phase AC 380 V at 50 Hz, vacuum from −0.02 to −0.06 MPa, water consumption of 250 L/hour and exhaust of 210 m³/hour. Plan additional space for service, cleaning, loading, dust collection and utility connections.
Price depends on capsule tooling, formulation handling, control architecture, feeders, dust collection, downstream equipment, inspection, documentation, FAT, destination and service scope. Compare itemized quotations instead of one headline machine price.
Provide the capsule size and shell, target fill weight and tolerance, formulation data, required good output, shift pattern, room conditions, utilities, control and data requirements, inspection and line interfaces, plus the documentation and acceptance evidence required by your quality team.
Specifications and performance statements are subject to the approved project configuration, technical agreement and representative-product testing.
Send capsule samples, formulation details, target dose, required good output, facility utilities, control requirements and validation scope. HIJ will review the project boundary and return an itemized configuration.
