What machine is suitable for filling honey and thick syrup?
Start with a positive-displacement route and a shut-off nozzle, then determine whether the product path needs heating, insulation or agitation. The final pump, passage size and nozzle settings should be proven using representative honey or syrup at its actual filling temperature.
Can one food filling machine handle both thin liquids and thick sauces?
Possibly, but the usable range depends on the selected dosing system, product-contact path, nozzle set and recipe. Ask the supplier to test both ends of the range and identify shared parts, dedicated change parts and expected changeover work.
How do you stop honey or syrup from dripping and stringing?
Cut-off performance can involve nozzle geometry, positive shut-off, suck-back, nozzle motion, filling temperature and container distance. A video or FAT sample should demonstrate acceptable neck and conveyor cleanliness under the agreed production conditions.
Can the machine fill sauces with pulp or particles?
The passage size and dosing route must be selected from the maximum particle dimension, concentration and acceptable product damage. Supply representative product and state whether settling or gentle agitation must be controlled during the trial.
What containers can a liquid food filler handle?
A configured line may handle suitable bottles, jars, cups or other stable preformed containers. Send container and closure drawings plus physical samples so the supplier can define guides, holders, nozzles, change parts, closure handling and downstream transfer.
Does the machine require a heated hopper?
Only when product testing and the approved process show that temperature control is needed for flow, cut-off or dose repeatability. State minimum and maximum filling temperatures, allowable exposure time and whether the transfer hose and nozzle also need heat control.
How should cleaning requirements be specified?
Define the product-contact parts, cleaning method, chemicals, temperatures, disassembly, drainability, allergen or flavor changeover rules and verification criteria. Do not rely on a generic “CIP-ready” label without an itemized cleaning boundary.
